Attention Coffee loving Cornwallites - Tim Hortons launches Food Drive

Cornwall, Ontario - Communities across Ontario participate in the Tim Hortons Food Drive by donating non-perishable food items for their local food bank. All food collected in each region stays in that region to help local families when they need it most. Starting now, local Tim Hortons restaurants will run their annual community food drive to help replenish the shelves at the Agapè Centre.

Until Sunday Nov. 20, those interested in making food donations are asked to fill Tim Hortons brown paper bags that are inserted into the Nov. 11th issue of the Seaway News, with non-perishable food items and drop them into the Food Drive bins located inside participating Tim Hortons restaurants.

"This November food drive helps replenish our food bank after Thanksgiving, just in time for the holiday season." says Alyssa Blais, Executive Director of the Agapè Centre. “This is usually a phenomenal food drive and we are hoping that it will give us the much needed cushion to hold us through the holiday season as our shelves are pretty bare right now.”

This year please give generously. All items are needed from soup, canned meat and beans to cereal and pasta.
