You Can Make A Difference: 7 Day Food Drive Sept 12-19
Every day a child goes hungry in Cornwall. You can make a difference by participating in our 7-day food drive challenge. From September 12th to the 19th, the Agapè Centre invites everyone to participate and to donate our three most needed food items; 1lb hamburger meat, cereal and canned fruit or fruit cups.
“Imagine the impact of having hundreds of individuals and businesses joined together in unison, collecting foods for today’s struggling families. Then, imagine the positive effect all those donated goods will have on the families who are having difficulty putting food on the table. Be a part of something special, and let’s create a wonderful ripple effect in our community” says Alyssa Blais, Executive Director.
It’s time to step up to the plate and support families in need by providing the essentials for living. Food supplies dwindled at the food bank over the summer months. This food drive will remind us that it is important to collect food for the hungry right now as it is in December. Residents and businesses are invited to bring down Agapè’s three most needed food items to the Centre. We can all make a difference!
The Agapè Centre is a not-for profit organization, supported by the community to ensure that no family goes hungry, cold or without any of the basic necessities of life. Over the last decade, food bank use at the Agapè Centre has risen and this year, the Agapè Centre has experienced a significant increase in the number of individuals requiring help. The Agapè Centre has been providing food, clothing and furniture to more than 1,000 people each month for the better part of the decade.

The Agapè Centre is a non profit organization that is all about “Local People Helping Local People” and your generous donation will go a long way to help local people in need.
