Agapè Celebrates Volunteers

 Over a hundred volunteers, staff and friends attended our fourth annual Volunteer Appreciation Evening, which was held April 11, 2007 at the Royal Canadian Legion Banquet Hall. Certificates and Agap� pins were awarded to volunteers with one or more years of service. Special certificates were given to several volunteers with five years of service and Volunteer of the Year plaques were awarded in each section.

The staff, to show their appreciation for the dedication and tireless efforts of all our volunteers, dressed up as hippies and holding placards, serenaded the volunteers to the Beatles� tune �With a Little Help from My Friends�. The Agapettes (volunteers Vivien, Lorraine, Louise and Betty from the Thrift Shoppe) were crowd pleasers as they performed �Lollipop. A good time was had by all.

We thank you all, again, for everything you do to help us in assisting those in need in our community. We couldn't do it without you!
